Extreme Experience

While looking at some of the great digital technologies available for game play I got into looking at a review about Alienware M15x, which is considered as the best gaming notebooks for those serious gamers. Alienware, otherwise frequently called the “transformer” or “Lamborghini” is known for being the top noted notebook for gameplay, even above some of the best such as Apple Mac book, Sony’s Bio, and ASUS gaming notebook. What I’ve noticed was that even with the same videogame, players seem to be demanding different gaming experience through integrating their game into a whole different gameplay system like Alienware, the kind of trend that’s coming from digital natives. And mainly because Alienware offers players to customize their own lighting options (including keyboards and track pads), and best quality graphics also shows how some people respond to games and integrate them with popular media.

This is a link that I found that actually demonstrates one of the games called Gears of War played on Alienware. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhnhEwl0-Go&feature=player_embedded
The way that the graphic works to provide such a great viewing angles just as in films really explained the possibility of the term “Machinema” mentioned in today’s lecture, that films could be created using features of video games.

I think the idea of creating this new experinece through constantly evovling can be determined not only by this particular gaming labtop but also a whole lot of other digital interface such as WII console (which can be integrated into different forms and shapes eg. tennis racket, gun), and also now with 3D technology, allowing much more entertaining game experience with such extreme features.
