Griefing <--why do you do it?!

Today’s lecture was very interesting regarding griefing as I have encountered this in my past gaming experience. I cannot agree more to the Counter Strike weapon use. As I joined a game, everybody was just using their knives. I wasn’t sure what to do, so I chose a gun and started shooting… I felt bad because I had no idea what was going on and why everybody was shouting foul language at me.

Another time when I got very annoyed and left the game was in Left 4 Dead. As everyone got to the safe house, one person had to be juvenile and constantly presses the E button which closes and opens the safe house door, I couldn’t get into safety as the zombies started gaining, so I started swearing a lot and left the game. Although it got me frustrated during the game but I got over it quickly, and no, it did not make me violent or swear more. As a funny prank, I would probably do the same thing to my own friends but I would never do this to other players online. I think it can ruin the fun while some people are very serious players.
